Triplets with Llamas
Second painting in Triplets Series.
Oil on canvas, 25 5/8" X 42 1/8"
SOLD
PRINTS available below.
"Triplets with Llamas" is the second painting in my Triplets Series. The three sisters are dressed in clothing from an era other than their present day lives, and even with sharing the same DNA, they experience the moment independently. The llamas stand with the group without coercion, no halters or lead ropes, they could run away whenever they want but choose to stay by their caregivers. The bucolic setting for the photoshoot is in the pasture on my farm in rural Pennsylvania. In this painting, I committed to rendering the leaf litter and rocks with as much attention as the figures because they are of equal importance. "Triplets with Llamas" showcases how my concept and technique work to show the kinship and uniqueness of the three sisters.
